Our tour of natural history & the bait al zubair Museums is a brief introduction that traces Oman’s history and development. Drive along the waterfront Corniche visiting the fish market & the colorful muttrah souq. Lying in the natural volcanic bowl, Muscat, with it’s natural harbor, means “Anchorage”. The al alam palace, residence of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Murani & Jalali. Fascinating Forts: Duration: 8 Hours

NIZWA, capital of the interior, is the birthplace of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. It boasts of the famous ROUND TOWER FORT, built in the 17th century, and its souq is renowned for its Friday cattle auction, intricately hand-carved "Khanjars" (daggers) & ornamental silver jewellery. BAHLA named after the ancient Bahila tribe is known for its pottery. The town is surrounded by a twelve kilometer long defensive wall and has, on several occasions been the capital of the Nabhan dynasty from the mid 12th to the early 17th century. The BAHLA FORT, which dates back to pre-Islamic times and is probably of Persian origin, stands high over the village and now it has been considered as a 'World Heritage Site' by UNESCO. JABRIN, the finest of Oman's castles built in the late 17th century, became a seat of Omani learning. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting & beautifully executed woodcarvings. Visit Al HAMRA VILLAGE situated on the foothills of Jebel Al Akhdar (green mountains) & enjoys a walk through its oasis and its dense date plantations.

Nakhl & Al hazm Duration: 6 Hours

Drive along the Batinah coast, into the hinterland, one of the most rugged landscapes to be found in the northern region. Visit the AL HAZM FORT and view THE FALAl SYSTEM. Proceed onto RUSTAQ village, famous for its natural Hot Springs. View the oasis of NAKHL & visit the NAKHL FORT, which is located on a rocky outcrop guarding the entrance to the oasis and village. Return to Muscat.

Snake Gorge Duration: 8 Hours

Our journey takes us along the BATINAH to NAKHL "the date palm" grove where you can see the natural hot springs and the NAKHL FORT. We continue our journey along the loop to WADI BANI AWF. Our climb through the Wadi will take us up the 'lebel' where at a point along the climb you can see the gorge below, which indeed looks like a snake. As you drive along you will come upon one of the most charming villages ever - BILLAD SAYT where time seems to have stood still for ages. The village on top of the cliff is a spectacular sight when seen from the terraced farms below, which provide the basic needs for the local residents. A picnic lunch will be provided here, before we commence our return journey along the same route back to Muscat.

Al Hajjar Mountain Trail Duration: 10 Hours

NIZWA, here you will visit the Round Tower Fort, Souq and drive around the town.AL HAMRA is the sprawling date palm oasis located at the foothills. From here your journey will take you across the mountains through various hairPin bends to the village of BILLAD SAYT located on top of the shadow side of the AL HAJJAR mountain range where you can see terrace farming. We travel through the serpentine path of WADI BANI AWF to NAKHL which is home to one of Oman's most beautiful hot springs, visit the NAKHL FORT, which is located on a rocky outcrop guarding the entrance to the oasis and village before returning to Muscat.

world interrupted here and there by tiny settlements. Travel on to AL HAMRA, a 300-year-old town on the edge of a sprawling oasis. Then up a winding road into hills to the faraway village of MISFAT AL ABRIEN, where time has stood still. Return to Muscat.

A Wadi Bash: Duration: 8 Hours

A trip by four-wheel drive vehicle to QURIYAT. We back~track to BIMAH sink-hole. We drive onwards to the white sandy MOKALLAH BEACH. WADI SHAB,is one of Oman's most beautiful wadis. Shab village on the coast is a Picturesque fishing village overlooked by old houses and a small fort. It guards the entrance to this lush green wadi with fresh water flowing most of the year alongside banana plantations and rocky paths. The pools are very inviting for those who would like to take a refreshing swim in the clear blue waters.

Wadis of the northern region Duration: 8 Hours

A full day tour along the Northern region will take us first to the SEEB FISH SOUQ by the seaside. Drive through the date palms to the sparkling springs and the Fort at NAKHL. Off the main road heading for the mountains as the road meanders through the wadi, we begin our climb on the 'Jebel' and halfway up the mountain you will come to beautiful WEKAN & HADASH villages, where you can see terrace farming. WADI ABHYAD is very pretty and as you drive along the wadi you can see gentle cascades that have cut through sandstone & limestone. There are several areas where you can see wild grasses and flowering oleanders along the course of the flowing wadi and you may be lucky to also see different types of butterflies & birds as you drive along.

Green Mountain Jebel Al Akhdar Duration: 8 Hours

Sharqyah (Wahiba) Wilderness Duration: 10 Hours

The WAHIBA SANDS, a vast mass of undulating red and white" sea of sand" with dunes rising up to 200 meters are also host to a variety of flora and fauna. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer's delight. In stark contrast to this is WADI BANI KHALID. It comprises of small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. The wadi has clear deep blue water and is a perfect place for a swim.
